The effect is set to continue for the next 48 hours. Despite intermittent showers, temperatures remain high, with Delhi recording a maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius. The rain has improved air quality to "satisfactory" from "moderate". Forecasts predict the AQI will return to "moderate" by Thursday.
