Pakistan has declared emergency in the wake of heavy rain that has flooded the country. Officials have said that this year's floods are comparable to 2010, the worst-ever deluge the country has ever seen. The disaster has affected over four million citizens who are helpless in the face of the crisis. Till now more 900 people have been killed, including 34 in the last 24 hours. The Pakistani government has appealed to the international community, and has sought relief assistance for the country that was recently listed at the eighth spot on the Global Climate Risk Index by an environmental NGO Germanwatch.
